Community Choirs: Classes 1100-1199
Choirs not affiliated with a school or school board.
One conductor may conduct any number of choirs, choral societies, orchestras, or bands, either in the same class or otherwise. In the spirit of fair competition, vocal conductors are instructed not to sing with the choir during competition. Failure to comply could result in an adjudication penalty.
School Choir: Classes 1200-1299
School choir members must be registered at the school during the school year coinciding with the year of the Festival. When more than one grade is represented in the choir, the highest grade of a choir member will be used to designate the class in which to compete.
